High-reach excavator taking down a multi-story structure
1600×1200 · 4:3 · eagerStraight answer
What does a demolition contractor do?
A demolition contractor takes a structure, or part of one, down safely and clears the site for what comes next. That means planning the sequence, handling hazardous materials first, bringing down the structure with the right equipment and hauling the debris away. QC Services handles all of it, from selective interior work to full structural demolition.

Demolition questions
What is the difference between selective and heavy demolition?
Heavy demolition removes a whole structure. Selective demolition removes only certain parts, such as interior walls, a wing or a floor, while the rest of the building stays standing and protected.
Do I need to deal with asbestos before demolition?
Regulated materials such as asbestos generally have to be identified and removed before a structure is demolished. QC Services handles environmental work in-house, so abatement and demolition can be scheduled together.
Can you remove concrete foundations and slabs?
Yes. Concrete demolition covers slabs, footings, foundations and paving. Saw cutting and trenching are available when only part of the concrete needs to go.
Who hauls the debris away?
Debris hauling and dumpsters are handled by our sister company, QC Transport LLC.
